
What Do I Need To Get Online To use the PlayStation Network, the following items are required: A PlayStation. 2. A Network Adaptor (Ethernet). (Includes Ethernet cable and Network Access Disc.) A Memory Card (8MB) for PS2 A service contract with a Broadband service provider A Network Game A 512kbps Modem with RJ45 Connection (Possibly use USB Modem)

3 Different Connection Options:
Option 1 Direct Connection
- Turn off your PlayStation 2 console, and your cable or ADSL modem.
- Plug a straight through network cable into your cable or ADSL modem.
- Plug the other end of the same network cable into your Network Adaptor (Ethernet) (for PlayStation 2).
- Turn on your PlayStation 2 console, insert the Network Access Disc and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If your modem is in your Set-Top Box please contact your cable provider.
Option 2 - ICS Connection
- Turn off your PlayStation 2 console, your cable or ADSL modem, and your computer.
- Plug a straight through network cable into your cable or ADSL modem and into one of your computers free network cards.
- Plug a crossover cable into the second of your computers free network cards and into your Network Adaptor (Ethernet) (for PlayStation 2).
- Switch on your cable or ADSL modem and then your computer and check that your computer can access the Internet fine.
- Install, and configure Internet Connection Sharing.
- Turn on your PlayStation 2 console, insert the Network Access Disc and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: The network cable supplied with your Network Adaptor (Ethernet) (for PlayStation 2) is not a crossover cable and should not be used for ICS connection.
Option 3 Router Connection
- Turn off your PlayStation 2 console, cable or ADSL modem, router, and your computer.
- Plug a straight through network cable into your cable or ADSL modem and into a free in port on your router.
- Plug a second straight through network cable into a free out port on your router and into your Network Adaptor (Ethernet) (for PlayStation 2).
- Plug a third straight through network cable into another free out port on your router and into your computers network card.
- Switch on your cable or ADSL modem, then your router, and then your computer.
- Check that your computer can access the Internet via your router.
- Turn on your PlayStation 2 console, insert the Network Access Disc and follow the on-screen instructions.
