The bullets begin to fly following the unprovoked invasion of Astigos Island by the oppressive Zagorias Federation. Despite heavy resistance, the Federation army has already seized 80 percent of the island and installed a number of tactical missiles, endangering all of the surrounding nations. Alan Dunaway and Wesley Lambert, two of the V.S.S.Es best agents, have been sent in to nullify the threat
Time Crisis 3 may already be an arcade success, but this is no direct port - Namco has implemented a whole host of improvements for the console version - a completely new scenario, featuring gun-totting heroine Alicia Winston and the innovative Sniper System are both PlayStation 2 exclusives. Also included are updated and enhanced versions of the Crisis Missions first seen in the PlayStation 2 version of Time Crisis 2, complete with extra objectives and new mission parameters.
For the first time in the Time Crisis series, you can select from an arsenal of four weapons. As well as a standard Hand Gun, the Machine Gun, Shotgun and Grenade Launcher all have individual strengths, but limited ammunition, adding a new tactical element to the game.
With simple controls, multiplayer modes and a ranking system to rise through, Time Crisis 3 offers both instant accessibility and longevity.
Features:
Three Game Modes:
- Arcade Mode Just like the arcade version, it is possible to select one player (Alan Dunaway) and two player (Wesley Lambert) modes
- Rescue Mission Mode - The main character in this mode is Alicia Winston, with you progressing through a parallel story from her perspective. Playing through Rescue Mission Mode is the only way to uncover the full plot, and in this mode you can use the new sniper system. This mode is exclusive to PlayStation 2
- Crisis Missions - This is an updated enhancement of the Crisis Mission mode from Time Crisis 2, designed exclusively for the PlayStation 2 version of Time Crisis 3 with extra objectives and new mission parameters
Weapons Selection:
Select one of four weapons using a menu which is displayed by pulling the trigger when hiding from the enemy:
- Hand Gun (unlimited ammunition)
- Machine Gun
- Shotgun
- Grenade Launcher
Adds a new tactical element to the game - each weapon is more or less effective against certain enemies
Sniper System (PlayStation 2 Exclusive):
- An entirely new combat system for the PlayStation 2 version of Time Crisis 3 is implemented in Rescue Mission mode, featuring Alicia Winston
- Use the zoom window and targeting marker to snipe at enemies using the G-con 2 (Sold Separately)
Longevity:
- Split screen multiplayer mode as well as iLink compatibility for co-operative combat
- The Rescue Mission mode and the inclusion of the enhanced Time Crisis 2 Crisis Missions add to the life span of the game
- Replay value is also extended as you will want to better your high scores, times and rankings.
